Coronavirus Public Holiday
Some countries will use Public holidays to attempt to tackle the Coronavirus Outbreak.
In these countries, we would expect that those who can work from home, will do so.
Many countries have called for lockdowns and for citizens to stay home as much as possible. If that happens in a country, it is not a public holiday - mainly as that would give holiday pay rights in many places.
Also in most countries, banks are still operating as they are essential services.
Note that cancellations of normal public holidays have been few so far. This means that if you are working with someone who is working from home, be aware that they will still be observing any of the normal public holidays in their location.
