Perlis has declared April 17th 2025 a state public holiday to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the reign of Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.
Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli announced this at the state-level 2025 Aidilfitri celebration in Dewan 2020 here.
"This public holiday is granted in celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the reign of Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail."
Shukri said the declaration of the holiday is in accordance with the Holidays Act 1951 (Act 369).
Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail (born 17 May 1943) is the current Raja of Perlis, reigning since April 17th 2000. He previously reigned as the twelfth Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia), from 2001 to 2006.
