The Civil Service Bureau has announced that Sunday December 1st 2024 will be a public holiday in honor of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit hosted in Kuwait.
All ministries, government departments, and public institutions will close for the day. Agencies and organisations with essential operations may set their holiday schedule, as determined by the relevant authorities, to ensure continuity of services in the public interest.
The Gulf Cooperation Council Summit is a pivotal event for member nations, which include Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.
The summit serves as a platform for member states to discuss and coordinate on various issues affecting the Gulf region, including economic development, security, and diplomatic relations.
