When is Police National Day?

What is Police National Day?
This is a day to pause and recognise the contributions of the Kiribati Police Service to the nation.
The state of Kiribati, independent since 1979, is located in the western Pacific Ocean and has 109,000 inhabitants.
Kiribati, which used to be called The Gilbert Islands, has no regular armed forces and the establishment of a military is forbidden in the constitution.
The Police Service is the only State disciplined force in Kiribati. The service has prison and quarantine powers, and operates the coast guard. Defense assistance is provided by Australia and New Zealand.
The police force reports not to the government but directly to the President of Kiribati.
