Born in Maharashtra, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was an anti-caste social reformer and is remembered for his works and fight as a social reformer.
Mahatma Phule played an important role in ending untouchability in the country and empowering society. He did the work of freeing society from evils, and connecting girls and Dalits with education. He also made organized efforts for the rights of farmers and labourers.
