The Government of Anguilla is pleased to announce that, in accordance with the Public Holidays Act (R.S.A. c. P130) and following approval by Executive Council, Her Excellency the Governor has signed the Special Public Holiday Regulations, 2025.
As a result, Friday, 28th February 2025 has been officially declared a special public holiday throughout.
The public is encouraged to take note of this announcement and to make any necessary adjustments to their personal and professional schedules accordingly.
The Government of Anguilla thanks all stakeholders for their cooperation and looks forward to the safe and respectful observance of this special holiday.
This holiday marks Cora Richardson-Hodge making history by becoming the first-ever female Premier of Anguilla, following a decisive victory by the Anguilla United Front (AUF) in the island’s general elections.
