The Council of Ministers has designated May 15th and 16th, 2025 as public holidays for employees of state administration institutions located within the municipalities of Tirana, Kamza, Vorë, and Kruja.
Exempt from this decision are employees of the Armed Forces, State Police, Republican Guard, fire services, and the healthcare system.
According to the government’s decision, the working days of May 15th and 16th, 2025, for state administration employees, will be compensated with workdays during other holidays within the year 2025.
Tirana will host the European Political Community (EPC) Summit on May 16, bringing together heads of state and government along with leaders of major European and international institutions.
One day before the European Political Community Summit, the leaders of the European Council and the European Union will gather for a working dinner in Tirana with the leaders of the Western Balkan region.
