Nepal (regional): Bagmati Languages Day. A a public holiday in Bagmati province to mark the occasion of introducing Tamang and Nepali languages as official languages.

Saint Kitts and Nevis: Labour Day. Similar to International Workers' Day, this holiday recognises the importance of workers' rights

Syria: Martyrs' Day. Marks the anniversary of the execution of 20 Syrian nationalists in Damascus by the Ottomans on this day in 1916.

Thailand: Coronation Day (in lieu). The Thai government has announced May 4th will be a public holiday henceforth to mark the coronation of the King in 2019
