International: Chinese New Year Holiday. The Chinese New Year marks the start of the lunar new year, which occurs sometime between Jan. 21 and Feb. 20. Also known as the Spring Festival, it is considered one of China’s most important celebrations, with each year being named after one of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac. Festivities include fireworks, parades, and performances. The holiday closes with a lantern festival.

International: St. Valentine's Day. Three different saints named Valentine are recognised by the Catholic Church. Valentine may not be the luckiest of names, as all three of the saints are martyrs.

Mongolia: Tsagaan Sar Holiday. Mongol New Year is celebrated over the first three days of the lunar year

Norway: Mother's Day. Mother's Day is celebrated across the world, in more than 50 countries, though not all countries celebrate it on the same day

South Korea: Korean New Year Holiday. Known as Seollal, Korean New Year is the first day of the lunar Korean calendar. It is the most important of the traditional Korean holidays

Vietnam: Tet Holiday. Tet is Vietnamese New Year and is the most important festival and public holiday in Vietnam
